To the editor — okay, hold up, let’s talk about this. Brian Weaver, big boss man of the Food Bank of Southern California, he’s saying that the Tesla he snagged using food bank funds was strictly for work. Like, really? Tesla for work? That’s like saying you’re eating a sundae because you’re trying to get your dairy fix. Come on, it doesn’t take a genius to smell something fishy here. Look, I’ve dipped my toes in all sorts of nonprofit stuff, from the brainstorming beanbags to the well-meaning but chaotic volunteer meets to the sleepy academic seminars. And lemme tell ya, in all that experience, never once did a luxury car make the “must-have” list for these groups. I mean, last time I checked, feeding people didn’t need four-wheel drives that make you look and feel like Tony Stark. Sorry, but nah. I just don’t buy it.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. Or, you know, maybe more like a dollar. Oh, and by the way, all credits to Mary Stewart from Wilmington for raising the flag on this one. We see ya!
