I feel compelled to express my agreement with Robert Lloyd’s thoughts regarding the decision to remove classic Warner Bros. animated shorts from Max, as discussed in his March 18 piece, “‘Looney Tunes’ has been removed from Max. This is why it feels like an attack.” Honestly, I find this move utterly shocking and disheartening. It’s a travesty of culture akin to disregarding a masterpiece. Just as you wouldn’t displace the Mona Lisa to hang new art, the solution lies in expanding the space rather than removing treasures. Good grief.

I completely understand the nostalgic loss many are feeling with these classic cartoons gone. However, we’ve discovered them still playing on MeTV Toons via Spectrum. Just the other night, we dived into a delightful marathon of cartoons from the ‘40s, ‘50s, and ‘60s, all featuring the legendary Mel Blanc. For us, it was the best TV experience we’ve had since our childhood days!
