Letters to the Editor: Greenland’s Pursuit of Independence Ignored by Trump

To the editor:

I have a thought regarding President Trump’s ambition to purchase Greenland, supposedly for reasons related to national and international security, along with resource acquisition. Rather than focusing on Greenland, why not consider Ukraine as a viable option, hitting all those targets at once? Do you think NATO member countries would agree with such a move?

To the editor:

Is there a reason America must always strive to be first? I’m quite at ease with our country standing as equals with our neighbors and allies. It seems rather arrogant and bothersome to propose renaming the Gulf of Mexico or to suggest we should take control of Greenland and the Panama Canal.
