HSBC Live+ has some good news for its users: the impressive 8% cashback rate, initially scheduled to end on December 31, 2024, will now extend an additional quarter. Cardholders can continue enjoying this 8% cashback on dining and shopping until March 31, 2025, thanks to the relevant Merchant Category Codes (MCC).

A little more on that bonus: the extra 3% is sticking around for another three months.
From the start, HSBC Live+ has been enticing users with this tempting cashback offer on dining and shopping purchases. The overall 8% is actually a combination of a steady 5% cashback, complemented by an exciting promotional 3% bonus as part of its rollout.
Originally, this 3% bonus was slated to finish by December 31, 2024, which would lower the card’s cashback to just 5%. Personally, I find a 5% rate isn’t particularly appealing for a card that requires a quarterly spending routine. Shelling out at least S$600 per month on specific categories for three months straight should yield more rewarding perks. Other cards, after all, offer cashback ranging from 8% to a whopping 17.5%, without the same level of hassle.
