These streets are conveniently nestled just off East Coast Road, while strategically positioned near the Marine Parade MRT station, the Marine Parade HDB estate, and a plethora of popular dining spots such as Chin Mee Chin Confectionery and Merci Marcel, among others.

Now, let’s take a turn off East Coast Road into Jago Close. Right at the entrance, you’ll spot Mel’s Place, a welcoming restaurant that stands as a noteworthy landmark.
Directly across from Mel’s Place sits a traditional kopitiam. When I visited, the kopitiam was in a bit of a mess; it seemed unclear whether it was under construction or being demolished. Unfortunately, a quick search on Google Maps didn’t shed any light on its status.
Interestingly, the kopitiam is incredibly close to the homes along Jago Close—it’s literally just a few steps away.
There’s a narrow alley that acts as a boundary between the kopitiam and the residential houses…
