As December unfolds, the stock market rally is starting to show signs of narrowing, reminiscent of earlier in the year when only a handful of major tech stocks were propelling the market forward.
Robert Pavlik, who serves as a senior portfolio manager at Dakota Wealth Management, weighed in on the situation. He explained, “It ties back to the upcoming administration and the policies they’re expected to introduce.”
A couple of major issues are hanging in the balance: Will we see an introduction of more tariffs? And what’s the outlook for U.S. energy producers amid persistently low prices? Pavlik notes that with these challenges, “lower oil prices are a possibility.”
Reflecting on the current market mood, he shared with MarketWatch, “There are plenty of ups and downs right now. You just have to hold on and see where it leads.”
